Step 2: Submit an Adoption Application

Complete our adoption application to tell us a little about yourself, your household, and the kind of companion you're looking for.

Step 3: Veterinary Reference Check

If you currently have pets or have had them in the past, we'll contact your veterinarian to verify their medical history, including vaccinations, spay/neuter status, and preventative care. This helps us ensure our dogs are placed in homes committed to their long-term health and well-being.

• Helpful Tip: Please contact your veterinarian to authorize the release of your pets' records to The Haley Graves Foundation. This can help prevent delays in processing your application.

Step 4: Connect With Your Adoption Coordinator

An adoption coordinator will contact you to schedule a virtual visit. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you, learn more about your home and lifestyle, answer your questions, and help determine whether the dog is a good fit.

If you currently have a dog or cat in your home, your adoption coordinator may also arrange a meet-and-greet to help ensure everyone gets along.

Step 5: Welcome Your New Family Member

Once your adoption is approved, we'll walk you through the adoption paperwork, fees, and everything you need to know before bringing your new best friend home. Then it's time to start making memories together!
